You've seen the leaked specs, now take a gander at what is being called the Sony Xperia Z2
Sony has certainly caught our attention with a number of high-end Android phones. Ever since the Japanese OEM divorced Ericsson, it seems to have put models like Sony Ericsson Xperia Play behind it. The Sony Xperia Z caught everyone's attention this past January at CES and it followed that up with the Sony Xperia Z Ultra phablet and the camera-centric Sony Xperia Z1.
The other day, we heard some speculation about an upcoming Sony Xperia Z2, rumored to be seeing the light of day this coming January at CES 2014 in Las Vegas. The phone is expected to carry a 5.5 inch IGZO, Triluminos screen with a 540ppi pixel density. A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU will be under the hood and 3GB of RAM will be included. On the back of the phone you will find a 20.7MP rear-facing snapper with a Xenon flash. The 3500mAh cell keeps the lights on and pre-installed out of the box will be Android 4.4 KitKat.

UPDATE:One of our loyal readers, apparently with connections to this device, tells us that the picture does not represent the Sony Xperia Z2. In addition, our source tells us that the device will be outed in March and April. Sony will no longer introduce new flagship devices at CES, says our tipster.

The picture below is alleged to be that of the Sony Xperia Z2. The phone looks like the Sony Xperia Z but with a larger screen. The handset still looks pretty slim. If the Xperia Z2 is to be revealed during CES 2014, expect to see some more leaks of the device soon. The model number is the C770X and the code name of the unit is "Avatar".
This is supposedly a picture of the rumored Sony Xperia Z2
