YouTube for iOS will play your videos purchased from Google Play
So you purchased a movie or a television show from the Google Play Store, and you want to view it on your Apple iPhone or Apple iPad. Well, ever since you were a little boy or little girl in grade school, you were told that iOS and Android don't mix. But there is a way for you to view the videos that you purchased from the Google Play Store on an iOS powered machine and it doesn't require any hacks at all. All you need to do is download and install YouTube for iOS.

After installing the YouTube for iOS app, simply sign in using your Google account information. Then, proceed to Menu -> Purchases where you will find all of that great video content that you purchased from the Google Play Store. Fire up a video, and you're watching the content that you purchased while using your Android device, on an iDevice.

If you were thinking about doing this reverse, forget it. Videos purchased from iTunes will not play on an Android device, at least not at this point in time.

I had an iPad mini 2 for about a week, but I'm pretty sure I was able to watch full screen videos in the official YouTube app...

By iOS, I assumed you meant all versions, including the iPad, so I'm pretty sure you did.

I know it sucks being corrected :) Instead saying that it barely works because of the lag and crashes, show us some bugs list or complaints from iOS users for the current version. We'll wait.

That's all the evidence that you have? :) It probably has a low score because some people can't find the fullscreen button.

I'm waiting.. that's what i thought. I don't mind being corrected but your being unnecessary right now. Like he stated it does work better on the ipads. We're not even talking about the full screen anymore lol that's been done and over with. Don't make a excuse like i did just be a man and admit you were corrected too :) by the way your evidence is your ios user themselves including me 'face palm'

youtube for ios is sucky, you can't stream when off the app like Protube, and unless you're on wifi, quality is horrible and you can't choose to bump it up to HD even when on LTE.
