The IFA 2012 show opens the showroom floor to everyone in a couple of days on Friday, but the most interesting announcements will happen earlier. And Sony is the first company to hold an official press event and hopefully announce a handful of new smartphones and possibly even a new tablet.

We’ve heard of the Sony Xperia T, earlier known under its codename, the Sony Xperia Mint, and it’s the most anticipated new announcement by Sony. With a groundbreaking new 13-megapixel Exmor RS camera, a 4.7-inch 720 x 1280-pixel screen and a dual-core Snapdragon S4 chip, it’s ready to make a splash.

We could also see the Xperia J mid-ranger and a brand new Sony tablet coming with plenty of accessories.
