Xiaomi Mi 2015811 and Mi 2015812 hit TENAA

Xiaomi Mi 2015811 and Mi 2015812 hit TENAA
A Xiaomi phone listed as the Mi 2015811 has been certified by China's TENAA regulatory agency. We're pretty certain that this isn't going to be the official name of the phone. After all, walking into a store and asking for the Xiaomi Mi 2015811 doesn't give you the same feeling as asking for the Xiaomi Redmi 3 does. And yes, that is the model that this phone is rumored to be.

According to Weibo listed Tech Web, the Mi 2015811 is the Redmi 3. The handset sports a 5-inch TFT display with a 720 x 1280 resolution. Under the hood is an octa-core 1.5GHz CPU. 2GB of RAM is inside, along with 16GB of expandable internal storage. A 13MP or 8MP camera is on back, with a 5MP camera in front for selfies and video chats. Android 5.1 is pre-installed. The Mi 2015811 measures 8.5mm thick, and weighs in at 143 grams. It will be offered in Silver, Gray and Gold color options. The device supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB connectivity.

Also receiving TENAA certification is the Xiaomi Mi 2015812. This unnamed model comes with a 5.5-inch display and apparently features the Snapdragon 808 chipset inside. That would explain why the phone is powered by a hexa-core 1.8GHz CPU. 2GB of RAM is inside, along with 16GB of native storage. The camera on back is either 8MP or 16MP, and a 5MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video chats. A fingerprint scanner is offered on the back of the unit, and Android 5.1.1 is pre-installed. The Mi 2015812 is 8.7mm thick, weighs 166 grams, and will also be offered in Silver, Gray and Gold. The model supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB connectivity.

As usual, TENAA has provided photographs of both models which you can view by clicking on the slideshow below.

Thanks for the tip!

just like battle of k3 note vs redmi2 note vs meizu's M2 note.. they will continue to dominate budget level with their successor, and soon cheap version zenfone 3 will join this battle o.O

Redmi 3 looks like nice evolution. And that Redmi Note 3 with SD? Well,i think its gonna be Redmi Note 3i/3c (or some Prime version). But there might be another reason of usage SD-they maybe want to sell it abroad (international version) with all LTE bands. And i remember that Barra stated they want to expand to US

God dammit! I just ordered my Redmi Note 3 a few weeks ago and it's going to arrive on my doorstep in the next few days! If this news came out before I placed my order, then I would've waited for the Snapdragon 808 version.

I can say new model of Redmi Note 3 has Snapdragon 650 instead to the SD808. Remember Xiaomi Kenzo. http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/search?q=xiaomi+kenzo
