Windows Mobile lands Facebook 1.2

Windows Mobile lands Facebook 1.2
Owners of Windows Mobile touchscreen smartphones are finally getting a crack at the Facebook 1.2 app that's been circulating around for non-touchscreen devices for the last couple of weeks. In this latest version, Facebook users are greeted to a hand full of new features to make keeping in touch with friends a lot more fun – such as being able to making comments & thumbs up, view comments more easily, update news feed page, and a search option. If you're running also the latest version of the Marketplace app on your Windows Mobile handset, you'll even have the option to install the application directly on your storage card if your on-board memory is limited. If you've been sitting around using an older version, you'll probably receive a notification to download the update – so now you won't have an excuse to not be constantly in the loop with your circle of friends.

I don't get it... if I have opera browser 10 beta, whyyyyy do I need a WM app for FB? (Steven58 shakes his head and sings the Windows Mobile song... "too little too late")

Get with the times man! Apple says EVERYTHING has to be a seperate app. Building well organized functionality into an OS from the ground up is so 2009. Now we just slap new functionality wherever it will fit via apps.
