Watch the Galaxy S5 battery explode like a firecracker during a routine hammer&knife test

The phone gets fairly gently smashed and scratched in the video below, like every routine smartphone hammer&knife test goes, and takes a decent overall beating, before it begins to crack. The utmost surprise, however, comes at the end, when the battery fights back, and dashes away like a firecracker. Yep, the impact of the hammer slap makes the juicer's innards go crazy, and it starts to spin, speeding off the table better than a swirling firework at the Chinese New Year.
The thousands of milliampere hours in today's smartphone batteries are packed so tightly together, that the tension makes them prone to some combustible and explosive chemical reactions, so, don't do this at home, and don't leave the S5 on the dashboard when in Arizona, too.

A lot of highly toxic acid, lithium cobalt oxide, lithium iron phosphate, lithium manganese oxide etc. Based on his bodily reactions, he's got some of it in his lungs and eyes, both now likely damaged. Things ppl. would do for youtube celebrity, the human race is priceless...
