Want a wood back for your Nexus 4?
Although it is still not yet available for the Motorola Moto X, the wood back that has been delayed as a Moto Maker customization option is expected to eventually be offered to buyers of the phone. Earlier this month, a tweet from evleaks suggested that the wood backs are still going to be an option for Moto X buyers. The choices are expected to be teak, rosewood, bamboo and ebony.
But what if you don't plan on purchasing a Moto X. Suppose you already owned, oh, a Nexus 4. Would you want to replace the regular glass back cover with some sexy wood grain? The glass back can crack easily. And that is what happened to one Leland Sindt. After the glass broke on the back of his Nexus 4, he decided to replace it with a homemade back made of real wood veneer that he glued in after the glass is removed.
