Vodafone UK is gearing up to ship out the Blackberry Bold 9900 come August 16th

Inching ever so closer with each passing day, potential BlackBerry Bold 9900 owners smell something good in the air today if they plan on picking up the handset through Vodafone UK. That’s because the wireless operator has just issued a shipment date on the highly anticipated next-generation BlackBerry smartphone.

Specifically, those who manage to beat out the crowd to place a pre-order of the device through Vodafone UK’s web site will find that the Bold 9900 will ship starting on August 16th, which is just literally a little over a week from today. Of course, there are a variety of plans offered by the carrier that’ll fit just about anyone’s specific needs, but for those who want to pick it up for dirt cheap, and by dirt cheap we mean free, you’ll have to pick out qualifying monthly plans that start off at £41 per month. Otherwise, there are other options available that will lessen the monthly plan, but will require you to fork over some moolah in the process for the smartphone itself.

Naturally, there are probably going to be a host of diehard BlackBerry fans out there that will be placing their pre-orders very soon – especially when it means if they can scoop it up sooner than others. Nevertheless, some people are going to think of ways to kill time between now and its ship date.
