Vivo could reveal today the date when it will unveil the loaded Vivo X5Pro
Another in a line of interesting Android handsets from China could be unveiled soon. Vivo has told readers of its Weibo web site in the country that it has important news to share with them later today. The news could be the date when the Vivo X5Pro will be made official by the manufacturer. While we have seen the ZTE Nubia Z9 unveiled today with its bezel-less screen and FiT interaction, the Vivo X5Pro might have some even more interesting capabilities.

Instead of a mundane fingerprint scanner, Vivo has been teasing a secure retina scanner for the device. The manufacturer has also been teasing the front-facing camera's ability to stitch together images taken fractions of a second apart, to form a 32MP picture. We also expect to see the Type-C USB port on board. This allows a rushed user, or one in the dark, to plug in the cable with either side up. And a 3500mAh battery promises good battery life for the phone.

As soon as Vivo passes along this date, we will pass it on to you. Meanwhile, besides what we've mentioned above, the Vivo X5Pro should feature double sided 2.5D glass. A 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display carries 1080 x 1920 resolution. Under the hood is a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 CPU, and  3GB of RAM is inside. There is 32GB of native storage on board, and the 13MP rear-facing camera is equipped with an f/2.0 aperture along with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus). Android 5.0 is pre-installed.

Hopefully we will soon get the word from Vivo as to when its flagship model will first see the light of day. Stay tuned!
