Verizon to be a no show for the upcoming Motorola event

Sometimes you just have to throw a big event to get some people to really start looking at you – this is especially true with Motorola announcing a special event coming soon. We know that Android will be all the rage during the September 10 announcement being held in San Francisco. Not only will Android and Motorola be featured, but some of their partners will join in on the festivities as well. One major partner will be glaringly absent through it all and won't be included in the agenda for the day. We all know by now that Big Red will be getting a taste of Android in the form of the Motorola Sholes, but a Verizon rep has stated that the company will not take part in the event – going further to say that they are unaware of what they are announcing. Pretty strange when you consider that this may well become the big return of Motorola into the limelight. In any case, we're sure that the number one wireless carrier in the US will make it a reality to see an Android phone on its lineup in time for the holiday season.
