The Verizon Wear24 LTE smartwatch is launching on May 11

Starting next month, Verizon will sell its very own smartwatch: the Verizon Wear24. Similar to other smartwatches currently on the market - including the LG Watch Sport that's already available on Verizon - the Wear24 runs Android Wear 2.0, and sports a circular display (a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen, to be exact).

Thanks to LTE connectivity, the Verizon Wear24 will let you make and receive calls without having to rely on a smartphone. Furthermore, with the new smartwatch, you can download Android apps, ask Google for help, or stream music (and easily pair the watch with your favorite Bluetooth headphones).

The Verizon Wear24 is dust- and water-resistant (IP67 certified), and packs a 450 mAh battery with wireless charging capabilities. The device comes in three color variants - Rose Gold, Stainless Steel, and Gunmetal Black - and offers various "interactive and unique" customizable watch faces.

Verizon will sell the Wear24 beginning May 11 for $299.99 with new 2-year activation, or for $349.99 outright. You'll be able to add the smartwatch to an existing plan starting at $5 per month. Interested?
