Waze for Windows Phone 8 fixes battery issues
Even though Google snapped up crowd-sourced traffic and navigation app Waze, it still provided a version of the app to Windows Phone 8 users. The only problem was that Waze had a nasty habit of draining the battery life of any Windows Phone that employed it. And in this day and age when every iota of battery life is worth its weight in gold, this was a problem that needed to be fixed.

And fixed it has been. The latest update to Waze in the Windows Phone Store includes improved battery life and some various bug fixes. While that takes care of a big problem that prevented Windows Phone 8 users from enjoying the traffic and navigation information they were receiving from the app, it still is missing a couple of features from the iOS and Android version of the app. Perhaps the next update will add the calendar and Facebook integration found on the latter two versions of Waze.
