U.S. Cellular version of Samsung Galaxy S4 receives Android 4.3, support for Galaxy Gear
It is now U.S. Cellular customers' turn to have their Samsung Galaxy S4 updated to Android 4.3. Software version R970VXUAMJA brings the Android 4.3 build, support for the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch and the secure business applications of Samsung KNOX. With the latter, you press on the KNOX icon to bring up a secure set of applications including a browser, contacts and calendar.
Besides those changes, the OTA update includes new versions of certain apps like City ID 1.25.11, Mobile TV 5.1.3.65-265549, MobiTiles 5.30.0.20, Slacker Radio 4.0.1034, TRD 2.0.32b, WiFi Now 4.5.90, YND 3.2.3.7230059, Mobile Security 6.6.16.32 and Amazon Shopping 2.6.0.
The update is being sent out in phases, so if you haven't received the notification that the update has arrived by now, trust us, you will. You can also see if the update has arrived on your phone by going to Settings > More > System Update > Update Samsung Software.
