U.K. carriers and retailers start confirming plans to carry Samsung Galaxy S5
With today's announcement that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will have an April 11th release date in 150 countries, some carriers and retailers in the U.K. are announcing their intentions to carry the device. Vodafone and EE have posted registration pages where customers of the two carriers can leave information, including an email address, and receive news about when the phone will be available for pre-order from each carrier.

Two of the region's most widely known handset retailers have jumped on the bandwagon as well, just as you would expect. Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u have also posted registration pages where various information is requested in exchange for getting the latest news about a pre-order period and pricing.

Throughout the day, we should hear more from other U.K. carriers and retailers announcing their intention to join in on what is going to be a huge global launch of what will no doubt be one of the most popular handsets of the year. In fact, you can now add U.K.'s Three to the list of carriers that will be offering customers the Samsung Galaxy S5.
