Two versions of the Oppo R7 are certified in China
Two versions of the Oppo R7 have been certified in China by TENAA. There is one model for China Telecom (R7c), and another model for China Mobile (R7t). The version of the phone for the former features a 64-bit octa-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 CPU. The China Mobile model is powered by an octa-core 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6752. Outside of the different processors, both versions are basically the same.

The Oppo R7 features a 5-inch screen with resolution of 1080 x 1920, which works out to a pixel density of 441ppi. 3GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of native storage. If additional memory is required, there is a 128GB capacity microSD slot available. Rear and front-facing cameras weigh in at 13MP and 8MP, respectively. A 2320mAh battery keeps the lights on, and Android 4.4.4 is pre-installed.

The phone has back and front 2.5D glass for both the China Telecom and China Mobile versions, and is 6.3mm thick. That is much thicker than the measurement that previous rumors had led us to expect. Last month, there was talk that the R7 would possibly set a new record as the world's thinnest smartphone with a measurement under 4.85mm. Guiness can call off their world record certification team, because it looks like they won't be needed here.

The TENAA certification also showed that there will be no fingerprint scanner on the Oppo R7 as previous images supposedly revealed. That feature could be saved for the premium Oppo R7 Plus, which is reportedly going to be unveiled on May 20 along with both variants of the Oppo R7.
