The popular social network Twitter has recently updated its BlackBerry client to version 10.2.2.1. This update brings a handful of new features and improvements to the app, most of which will most probably be highly appreciated by BB 10 users, who use the social network on a regular basis. Probably the most notable improvement is the tight integration with BBM, the Canadian company's messenger service. The Twitter client for BB 10 devices now allows users to simultaneously tweet and update their BBM statuses.
Thanks to the update, tweets with links that contain photos or images, will now be displayed as thumbnails directly on the Home Timeline. A simple tap on a thumbnail will bring up the full screen version of the Twitter client. Another brand new, handy feature is In Line Reply, which allows users to directly reply to a tweet by tapping on it.
Allegedly, under-the-hood enhancements to the Twitter app include improved overall performance and better full screen image viewing. Of course, the app has received the usual optimizations and bug fixes as well.
