The rumoured specs of Sony Ericsson X12 (Anzu) are leaked
We have already told you that a tweet from Eldar Murtazin broke the news that Sony Ericsson is set to produce no less than 7 new devices in the first half of 2011. Without any doubt, the most interesting of these devices is the Sony Ericsson X12, also known as Anzu, which is expected to be the Japanese-Swedish joint venture's next flagship model. That's why we have the pleasure to present you with one important piece of information - the suspected specs of the Anzu model.

They read:

MSM7230 processor
8.1 MP AF with Exmor R (16x Digital Zoom, HD Video recording (720p/30fps) w stereo audio recording support, Pulsed LED, Face Recognition & Tracking in video recording)
Built-in 3.5mm (w/ adaptor)
Noise Suppression
4.2” FWVGA (854×480) Capacitive display (X.LED multi-touch display, Capacitive multi-touch, 16 Million display color)
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
HDMI (type D)
Compass
Size (125.0 x 62.5 x 8.7-10.9 mm)
Battery: 1500 mA
OS: Android Gingerbread.

The 4.2-inch screen looks impressive along with its 480x854 resolution, not to mention that it packs Qualcomm MSM7230 processor (the same one that powers the T-Mobile G2, although the processor speed of the Anzu is not known yet) and a 8.1MP camera with HD recording capabilities at 30fps. And if that doesn't sound too bad, the rumour says that it will run the much-anticipated Android Gingerbread.

We would like to reiterate that this is just a rumour from unconfirmed source, but seriously, these specs sound really good. Sadly, there is no word when this device can be expected, but the Anzu may prove to be what Sony Ericsson really needs – a flagship handset that's destined to be a winner among the high-end smartphones.
