The rosy-cheeked LG Popcorn GU280 comes from Italy

LG is in the habit of lending color to their product catalogue by rolling out a great number of new handsets with jazzy design at the end of each year. One of the latest additions to their catalogue appeared on LG´s Italian website and did manage to catch us napping earlier today. The pink LG Popcorn GU280 is a slider and certainly doesn´t look made from popcorns. Come to think of that, this could have been a really nice surprise indeed... As a whole, it sports a pretty youthful design and the available specifications indicate it´s a quad-band GSM that supports 3G, weighs just 102 gr. and comes equipped with 1.3-megaixel camera and 2-inch display with native resolution of 176x220 pixels that supports 262k colors. Apparently, the Popcorn is an entry-level cell phone and should hit the shelves with an affordable price tag, although the manufacturer hasn´t mentioned anything about the release date or retail pricing of the crunchy GU280.
