The Razer Phone: do you like it?

So, gaming-oriented company Razer has finally taken the plunge and entered the highly-saturated smartphone market. Is it going to make it? Time will tell... The Razer Phone, as the company's first handset is called, is packed with powerful hardware to the brim — a Snapdragon 835, 8 GB of RAM, massive 4,000 mAh battery, dual camera on the back, and so on.

On the other hand, it comes in a rather uninspiring shell, which may or may not be your thing. Its bezels are a bit offensive to look at, if you are high on the 2017 bezel-destroying trend, and it's rather chunky. So, you know, obviously, it's about priorities here.

All that said — what do you think of the Razer Phone?

Do you like the Razer Phone?

nice to see devices filling some gaps. People were crying about massive RAM, battery and stereo speakers.. there you have it.

Asus zenfone Ar has 8GB of ram. 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, and also has stereo speakers.

A gaming device with no headphone jack? No, thank you. When I want to play but battery is dying I can't charge it and use wired headphones. You can do that on other gaming devices.

It has a 3.5mm headphone jack... it's in the full spec sheet.

No it doesn't It has a USB c dongle Its the most stupidest decision from razer, even the camera set up is the same as apple but much worse quality Razer have made a good concept trash by trying to copy apple Apple fans HAVE to stick with what ever apple decide to omit from iPhones as apple is the only manufacturers of iOS devices, razer should learn android users DONT, because we have variety.. Don't put a headfone jack in cool will go to a android manufacturers who does Truly naïve thinking from razer build a gaming phone but omit a headfone jack because they think it's cool because apple did it..... Idiot's

LOL! Google's pixel 2 phones have no headphone jack. And there are some rumors that the s9 and S9 plus won't have headphone jack.

There is no comfortable way to hold a phone in landscape when it has head phones plugged in IMO.

This phone is just Crazy tbh.. Those speakers, the 120hz display, QC quick charge 4+, 4,000mah battery, Nova launcher prime, dual cameras, side mounted FPS's, all for $699?.. This is too good to be true!

I was thinking the same thing, just waiting to see how the camera is. The price is spot on with the 4000mah and QC 4.0 will be great. Love how you can adjust the CPU performace, change from 60hz-90hz- 120hz. The only knock i have is the figure print scanner placement.

Atleast. That bezel was used for something. A full bezel front facing dolby atmos stereo speakers!

I have a question: does Razer have a service or a gaming hub like steam? If so this would be a killer feature.

I like a couple things about this phone. 8 GBs of Ram, 4000mAh battery, 120hz!? If only this phone had a 18:9 screen with Oreo on board.

Sigh, I got excited about the front facing stereo speakers, then got sad when it became known of its lack of a headphone jack. *I'm moving on and reclaiming my time*

Headphone jack... it's in the spec sheet.

Please provide directions on how to locate this spec sheet. The spec sheet that is posted on the razer website has no mention of a headphone jack but instead has a picture of someone wearing wired headphones connected to a Razer Phone via a dongle.

This would be a cool phone depending on the games that come out that this phone either plays better than or the only one that can play it. Compared to the other phones.

You wonder why Samsung could not come up with a product like that.

What does this Razer phone have that Samsung couldn't come up with exactly? And how is that a must have feature?

My only con is no capacitive buttons with that big bezels.

I expected more from this phone. The lack of a headphone jack is bold for their first phone. That design is meh. The back is decent but the front is just ugly.

Another fake OEM trying to be cool, yet fail to be a real competitor. King Samsung will laugh at this sorry weak ass of a form.

FFS... is it too difficult to read a spec sheet, it's in the full specs. 3.5mm headphone jack. It's there. The only thing I'm not seeing listed is dust/water resistance.

Nope, it definitely has no headphone jack. It comes with a dongle. Look it up on youtube.

Dual or single sim though? Edit: It seems it's a single sim phone, I got excited for nothing! A beautifull phone nonetheless, but I need dual sim.

Folks who are hoping that the camera on razer phone to be great should look elsewhere, coz you'll probably be disappointed. This phone's hardware and built is aimed for hardcore gamer and heavy phone users. Atleast there's already a content creator smartphone aimed for aspiring vloggers and videographers. Nowadays, each competitors should decide what market/consumers are they up to. Because we all know that there's no such thing as perfect phone that could cater all consumers want in a smartphone.
