Ask an American what Moviefone is, and he/she will tell you that it is an app (originally a call-in service) that lists movie times, shows trailers, and even tells you what new flicks are available on streaming sites like Netflix. But now, there is another Moviphone, although it is spelled quite differently. This Moviphone happens to be an Android handset with a built-in projector. Images can be projected to as large as 100-inches, which tops the 70-inch maximum projection available with the InstaShare Projector Moto Mod. At 50-Lumens, the Moviphone is about as bright as the Moto Mod projector.

The image projected is in HD (720p), and the 5.5-inch display carries a 720 x 1280 resolution. Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6750V chipset featuring an octa-core CPU, and the Mali-T860 MP2 GPU clocked at 650MHz. 128GB of native storage is inside. A 16MP camera adorns the back of the device, and there is an 8MP front-facing snapper for video chat and selfies. Keeping the lights on is a 4000mAh battery, and Android Nougat is pre-installed.

The Moviphone is priced at $599 and is available from Wireless Mobi Solutions by clicking on the sourcelink. The manufacturer hopes to expand distribution to U.S. carriers and retailers. Speaking of carriers, the Moviphone is unlocked and is compatible with all four major U.S. carriers.
