Teaser reveals November 4th unveiling date for the Xiaomi Redmi 4

After being certified in China last week by TENAA, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 will apparently be unveiled on November 4th. A teaser released by Xiaomi today reveals the date of the phone's official introduction. The handset carries a 5-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Snapdragon 625 chipset is under the hood, carrying an octa-core 1.8GHz CPU and the Adreno 506 GPU.

The Redmi 4 is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. A 128GB capacity microSD slot is available for those requiring additional storage. On back, you will find a 13MP camera with a 5MP camera in front for selfies and video chats. A 4000mAh battery keeps the phone powered on, and the unit supports dual SIM capabilities. A fingerprint scanner can be found under the rear camera.

The Redmi 4 is 8.9mm thick and weighs in at 160 grams. Buyers will have the choice between two color options, Gold and Silver. As is usual for Xiaomi, the Redmi 4 is expected to be a bargain. The buzz around the water cooler suggests that the device will be priced at the equivalent of $192 USD.
