T-Mobile update to Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge sent to improve battery life
Good news for T-Mobile subscribers currently rocking the Samsung Galaxy S6 or Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. Both handsets have received an OTA update today that improves battery life. And if there is one thing in the world that you can't have too much of, it's battery life on your phone. The new baseband version for the Galaxy S6 is G920TUVU2COF8. For the Galaxy S6 edge it is G925TUVU2COF8.

The Galaxy S6 edge is not only receiving a boost to its battery life, the update is also removing an error message that some users were receiving. The message, "Unfortunately, Cocktailbar service has stopped,"  has been spotted on the screens of some Galaxy S6 edge units employing the Space Odyssey theme or a downloaded one.

Since the update is sent on a staggered basis, you might not receive it for a few days. If you can't wait, you can try to coax out the update by going to Settings > About device > Software update > Ok. The updates weigh in at 102.97MB. And as usual, we suggest using a Wi-Fi connection when updating your phone. In addition, make sure that your battery is charged to at least 50% before starting the updating process.

Thanks for the tip!
