T-Mobile Solutions Showcase - Free Dash 3G and goodies
We had the opportunity in attending the T-Mobile Solutions Showcase event in New Jersey and were given a preview of two business minded devices; the Dash 3G and HTC Touch Pro2. It was headed by the trifecta of T-Mobile, Microsoft, and HTC. For a good chunk of the two hour event, representatives from all three companies provided their presentations. During T-Mobile's showcase, the representative talked about some of the features found on both devices as well as a business bundled plan that includes unlimited data and voice for less than $80 per month ($59.99 for voice and $19.99 for data). The guys from HTC went on to say that the Dash 3G will not be provided with a ROM upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5 while the Touch Pro2 will get it. Finally, Microsoft had their say and mostly talked about Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and its benefits to business professionals. One person from the audience asked if Microsoft intends to have Pocket Internet Explorer support flash. From what the rep stated, it will be on board with version 6.6. Afterwards there were some kiosks where people were able to get a preview of the new phones from the reps. We unfortunately did not get a chance to perform a special hands-on with either phones due to the long waits. One of the best things to come out of the event was that everyone who attended would be offered a free Dash 3G and 60 days of free service.  Additionally a nifty looking binder with two 2GB microSD cards for your personal use were given out to everyone who attended. The showcase event will still be held throughout different dates and locations all around the country. Check out our previous post to read more about the event and register before time runs out.
