Supply chain says 4-inch Apple iPhone 6 mini is not coming
Some people miss the smaller 4-inch iPhone screens so much, that rumors have started over the last few weeks about a Apple iPhone 6 mini being prepped by Apple. Ironically, the same supply chain sources that said that a 4-inch iPhone was coming in 2015, are now refuting the whole premise. These sources now say that Apple has not ordered any parts that could be used in the production of such a device.

The supply chain also indicated that it would seem unlikely that Apple would go back to producing a 4-inch model after all of the hoopla and fanfare that accompanied the launch of the newer, larger iPhones. The Apple iPhone 6 features a 4.7-inch screen, while the Apple iPhone 6 Plus phablet is equipped with a 5.5-inch display.

It seems light years away when the OG Apple iPhone's 3.5-inch glass was considered, in the parlance of the day, "generous." The Windows Mobile powered HTC HD2 seemed like a giant in 2009, with its 4.3-inch display. Now, we have "mini" versions of Android phones coming to market with 5-inch screens. Those nostalgic for smaller displays, or who were born with small hands, can still find the 4-inch Apple iPhone 5s around. But if the supply chain is right this time, Apple is looking ahead, not behind.

Thanks for the tip!

If this is true, then smart move Apple. Stick with 4.7 inches for small models, 4 inches is waaaaay too small and uncomfortable in many aspects my friends.

Plus, why bother refreshing the iPhone 5S? Just keep selling the 5S so everyone gets what they want, because not everyone likes the same. 5S still is a solid device even for 2015. (Say what you want, but it is just like that) For example, both of my bros were hyped of the new iPhone 6, but the size was a huge deal breaker for them.

Precisely they have a great set-up as it is......why ruin it by going continuously smaller to such a degree? 6+ for the big phones crowd, regular 6 for the middle man, and 5S or successor 4.5 inch or even 4.4 inch device for the small crowd. Everyone's happy :)

You would have had to been crazy to ever believe it in the first place. The iPhone 6 is the mini at only 4.7" and 720P. Why go smaller? They could have just made the 5S again and called it the 6 like they did when they took the 5 and called it the 5C

They best keep the 5/5c/5s on the market. I see a ton of prople balk at the 6 and 6+ every day. Some people don't need nor want a phone that big. I care less myself, I'm fine with my Moto G and was good with my Nokia 620. I enjoyed the screen size I had on my old Galaxy S3, but it wasn't a deal breaker. I'm just saying there's people out there who want that sweet-spot size, so Apple would be dumb to keep their smallest phone at 4.7" going forward....

if you want a 4" iPhone go to the store and buy a iPhone 5S. It won't be as much as the newer iPhones.

Make it Apple 4-4.2, and a lotta customers will be satisfied. Your older, and female crowds will appreciate the choice.

They should make a super mini. They woul have a nigger line up wich could serve more people. For myself those small phones aren't good anymore. I get cramps in my hand not even using the 5s for a minute.. 5 inch phones are a bit better but in a couple of minutes its the same

I personally do not like large phones (large = 4.3"+ in my book) I'm a 6 ft 185lbs man with large hands and I believe 3.7 to 4.3 inches-- 4.5 inches at the very most depending on bezel size is the perfect sized phone. Being an Android lover and being unable to find a reasonably sized competent device in today's market- I was looking to possibly switch to Apple but after seeing that they started targeting the market for size queens as well, I'll probably just end up sticking to my trusty HTC One S until something comparable comes out, for my carrier at least.. I would jump onto an iPhone if it was 4.3-4.5 inches max
