Sprint PCS launches the first in the US 2 mega pixel camera phone

Sprint PCS today announced the availability of Samsung MM-A800 phone. The A800 is the first 2 mega pixel camera phone officially introduced by a major US carrier. The 4.26 ounce device features 3D graphics, QVGA-resolution 1.22" x 1.59" TFT LCD with 262 000 color support. The phone's camcorder capabilities allow customers to shoot 30-second videos, which can then be sent via email or saved as screensavers and wallpapers. The embedded camera can be also used as a business card scanner with the Biz-Card Scan software which transfers the contact information directly into the device's internal contacts.
