Spotify announced that a standalone app for Wear OS smartwatches is now available for download for free. Moreover, starting November, the Spotify standalone app will be auto-installed on all Fossil Gen 4 and Michael Kors Access Runway smartwatches.
Thanks to the new integration, Spotify users will be able to access their recently played songs easier than even without having to pull their phones out of their pockets. The same goes for when you want to access your Discover Weekly playlist or use functions like play, pause, or skip the next track.

Another nifty feature available to Spotify users is the option to save a new song to their collections while on the go by simply tapping the “heart” icon on their smartwatch's screen.
The standalone app seamlessly connects to your speakers or home devices through Spotify Connect so that you can control the music from your smartwatch. The Spotify app will be rolled out to users with Wear OS smartwatches over the coming weeks.
