Spigen Slim Armor View Case for the Samsung Galaxy S4 hands-on
Already providing Samsung Galaxy S4 owners with some versatile cases, premium accessory maker Spigen is at it again with another concoction that’ll no doubt attract some people. Combining two of its most popular case series for the Galaxy S4, the Spigen Slim Armor series and the Ultra Flip View series, the Spigen Slim Armor View case is the result of the marriage between those aforementioned cases. One part protective case, one part S View cover, this is the all-in-one solution that owners have been waiting for.

When we first saw the official S View cover for the prized smartphone, the biggest nagging thing about it was how its front cover was flimsy – so much so that it sometimes became a hindrance. Well, Spigen managed to deliver a fine alternative with its Ultra Flip View case, seeing that it was cheaper and offered better protection than Sammy’s own offering. However, with the Spigen Slim Armor View case, we have to admit that we’re totally in love. Why’s that? For starters, it has the sturdiness of Spigen’s Slim Armor case series, as its dual-layered case design helps to sprinkle that needed level of protection. Specifically, it’s comprised out of thermoplastic urethane material, a hard polycarbonate front, and a scratch resistant viewing window. Even better, the front portion of the case is held together by a latch – something that we desperately craved with all other S View cover alternatives.

Thankfully, the case itself is form fitting, which means that the overall size of the smartphone isn’t increased. On top of that, the soft touch coating of the case helps to keep it clean looking – and it does wonders to repel dirt, debris, and smudges! Naturally, all of the ports and buttons on the Galaxy S4 are still easily accessible, but best of all, they’ve also made cutouts for the earpiece and home button. And of course, there’s the viewing window on the front that provides us with some pertinent information – such as the time, date, notifications, and battery level.

Seriously, $49.99 for any case is rather expensive, but when we factor in its useful viewing cover with the protective and encapsulating nature of the case, it’s more than justified. This is it folks! This is what the original S View cover should’ve been like from the onset. Well, at least the Spigen Slim Armor View case is finally here, so don’t hesitate to check out this wicked option!
