Sony Xperia E1 and Sony Xperia E1 Dual visit the FCC?

Sony Xperia E1 and Sony Xperia E1 Dual visit the FCC?
We recently told you about a series of new Sony devices spotted on the Indonesian Postal site. Those models were apparently from a "D" series being developed by Sony. Now, we have word that a pair of these "D" series models have paid a visit to the guys at the FCC. The D2004 and D2104  are apparently the Sony Xperia E1 and Sony Xperia E1 Dual based on documentation filed with the FCC. These two phones would offer HSPA+ connectivity. It is believed that the D2005 and D2105 are similar to the latter two versions, but with support for LTE.

There is speculation that these models will be a revised version of the Sony Xperia L. That model offers a 4.3 inch screen with resolution of 480 x 800. The model is equipped with a dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus with 1GB of RAM on board. Obviously this is a handset in need of a refresh.

Hopefully, Sony will let us know exactly what to expect from all of these "D"-series models rumored to be coming from the Japanese manufacturer. CES would be a great place to start.
