Sony Ericsson’s future line including W610, W880 and K5501
The Sony Ericsson W880was “announced” at the CES, but no real information was officiallyreleased about it, only a picture crop. Here are a few photos of it,compared to a lighter, which reveals how it really is. The W880 willmost probably be tri-band GSM + UMTS for Europe, and not usable in theAmericas. The display is rather small but with QVGA resolution and thecamera is 2-megapixel unit. Other functionality should be similar toprevious Sony Ericsson models from the class.
The K550is another 2-megapixel shooter, part of the mid-level segment. It hassmaller 176x220 pixels display, M2 memory slot in addition to the 64MBbuilt-in memory and features FM radio. Also a tri-band GSM for Europe, this model lacks 3G support.
The latest new phone is the Sony Ericsson W610.Judging from the "W", it is obviously part of the Walkman series. Itwill be quad-band GSM with no 3G support. The W610 should be a mid-tierdevice, with specification similar to those of K550. The phone is 100%real, as it is already FCC approved.
