Sony Ericsson announces four new GSM phones

Sony Ericsson unveiled four new GSM phones. The new handsets are tri-band GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 models, except J300 which is a dual-band GSM. Only Sony Ericsson K300 is announced to have GSM/GPRS 850/1800/1900 version for North America also available.

 

W800 - the first Sony Ericsson's walkman branded phone. It features:

  • 262k color TFT display

  • built-in 2.0 megapixels camera with flash and video capture

  • Music player with dedicated start/stop button and can be operated even if the phone is turned off

  • high-quality stereo headphones

  • MP3/AAC formats are supported

  • 38 MB built in memory

  • Memory Stick Duo - 512 MB

  • FM radio

 

K750 – the successor of K700, which is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2005, features:

  • 262k color TFT display

  • built-in 2.0 megapixels camera with auto-focus, flash and video capture

  • Bluetooth

  • 32 MB built in memory

  • Memory Stick Duo – 64 MB

  • MP3 player

  • FM radio

 

K300 - an entry level camera phone. It is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2005 and sports:

  • 65k color LCD display

  • built-in VGA (640x480) camera with video capture

  • 12 MB built in memory

  • MP3 player

 

J300 – an entry level phone with changeable faceplates in different colors and patterns. It is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2005. The phone features:

  • 65k color LCD display

  • 2D and 3D games

  • Media Player

  • 12 MB built-in memory
