Some pre-orders for the Sony Xperia Z2 in the U.K. to ship on Monday
It's a fabulous Sunday in the U.K. No, it has nothing to do with the weather, or the final score of the Liverpool vs. Manchester City football contest. Actually, the news that is putting a spring in the step and a smile on the face of those in the U.K., has to do with the delayed Sony Xperia Z2. According to the websites of various smartphone retailers in the region, some of those who pre-ordered the Sony Xperia Z2 will finally get their phone shipped starting on Monday. Back in March, Sony U.K. announced that the phone would be delayed until May.

For those who did not pre-order the device, Sony's latest flagship Android smartphone should start to arrive in the region on May 1st. A shortage of components has kept the phone in very limited hands at this point. Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U will start shipping pre-orders on Monday, while Clove's pre-orders will ship starting in the middle of next month.

The Sony Xperia Z2 was originally unveiled at MWC in late February, and so far it is unclear when, where and if the phone will be available in the U.S. While T-Mobile held U.S. exclusives on the Sony Xperia Z and the Sony Xperia Z1, there has been some speculation that the Xperia Z2 will end up as an exclusive for Verizon with a Q2 launch.

Pretty sure Sony would love to sell their phones by the truck load in the USA, unfortunately, the gate keepers in the States are the networks!

With these delays I think Z3 will be for 2015. I think these short cycles are the main reason for shortage of supply.

Open your eyes please to see what are the selling points of Z2. Beautiful and durable design powerful hardware and 3G RAM powerful camera great display and UI stereo speakers and noise cancellation powerful battery water and dust proof You must be so narrow minded to see just the last one as the selling point of Z2.

it's you again with the 3gb ram bragging, you make it sound as if Sony invented it and were first to implement it in the Z2. KitKat is the reason why S5 and M8 went with the 2gb ram, I won't go why, but maybe you should educate yourself and try to google it. As for the cheap S5 and M8, articles and videos are there for the blinds like you to see how well those 2 phones are surviving from torture tests thrown at them, at least go to a store near you and try them before you come him rambling. But 2 things are clear, you, and the majority of sony fanboys in here, are hating the success that the S5 is enjoying and the brilliant designed and built HTC M8. p.s: your lovely Z1 compact is made of a plastic back you troll.

really so the next S6 will stock with 3gb ram, and note4 will have 4gb ram, will you be saying anything then? how am i a troll? dont you read every articles on PA i have no hate for any ANDROID OEMS, XCPT HATE FOR APPLE PATENT TROLLS i own a htc onem7 go to a store every samsung phone is made with plastic,,, go to the store and feel and touch fake dustbin bag plastic. i hate plastic my NOKIA8800 ARTE HAS NO EFFIN PLASTIC CHEAP I OWN a n3 if you dont want 3gb ram or is happy with 2gb ram, i advice you to not to upgrade your phone for the next 5years and be happy with your 2gb ram,,,, 5 years old phone like the iphone 3g and not buy the ip5s, or be happy with s1 and not by the s5 the reason they went for 2gb ram was cause samsung and htc wanted to rinse and save them 10dollars on every device they sold, unlike sony device when you buy them you pay for what u get, unlike htc giving you 3layers of aluminium on its phone instead of 30 layers

you own this and you own that, and I bet you own a Lamborghini, a Ferrari and a yacht, not to mention the dozens of islands in the pacific ocean. You TRY to fool us into this apple patent hate, but everytime I read your comments, it is either bashing Samsung's plastic, M8 "cheap" aluminum, while praising your beloved Z2. And can you please, pleaseee explain to me, how do you own an HTC M7 (I know you don't, but for the sake of the argument I will say you do), when you believe the M8 is made of what I remember you claiming a cheap tinfoil?? Especially when the M8 is made of 90% of metal compared to the 70% found in the M7? You're not just a troll, but a hypocrite as well.

no i dont own a lambo or ferrari. why shoul i lie about what i have and what i dont? yes you might be true that the m8 could be made with metal, just like the htc ONEV, SENSATION, DESIRE HD, EVO4G, BUTTERFLY....? yes the m7 has less layers than shouldve had 10 layers more. i did previously say i have a GLOBAL chefs knive which costed me £140, it says on the knife it has 56layers of SS, so if HTC wanted they coulve done the same. yes it mightve costed few dollars more but consumers are willing to pay the indiffrence why shouldnt i give big credit to SONYZ2, its tthe worlds first mobile to have DRAGONTRAIL glass front and back... better than gorrila 3 i dont hate SS or HTC, but hate plastic...... so you give apple the credit of being the worlds N1 patent trolls? looks like youve lost humanity and dignity and self respect?

so basically manufacturing a knife is the same as manufacturing a smartphone? and you hate plastic and aluminum yet you have the note 3 and m7? Plus you didn't answer my question, the back of the Z1 Compact that you always brag about is made from plastic, any comments on this matter? fyi, the Z copied the back of the IP4, just because they moved the flash and placed under the camera sensor doesn't make Sony that innovatives. And again, don't act like you hate Apple for their patent wars, you hate it for their success. I ll sum it up, you hate both Apple and Samsung for their success, HTC for always making a batter designed flagship than your beloved Sony, and Lg because again, it is enjoying better success than Sony. Don't forget to make love to the glass back of your phone before you go to bed.
