Shiny is hip! LG G6 rumored to sport a glass back, borderless edge-to-edge display, and other goodies
So, for the past couple of days, we've been seeing various leaks and renders of the upcoming LG G6. The rumors suggest that LG has given up on the modular concept, which was introduced with the G5 and widely ignored by the general public, and is moving to a more conventional take, evolving the G5's shapes.

Now, another leak sheds some more light on what LG may have in store for us. According to the anonymous report, the G6 will sport a glass panel on its back, and what some call a “2.5D display” on the front. Don't worry, 2.5D isn't something mind-bogglingly techy — it's just a way to describe a glass panel, which goes almost fully end to end, leaving almost no side bezels, and is arched in a way that makes it transition seamlessly into the phone's body. That very arch is why the term 2.5D was coined. Not entirely accurate, but hey — neither is “4D cinema”.

Back to the G6 rumors, the leakster says that we will be seeing wireless charging and water-resistance added to LG's flagship — long overdue features, especially considering that the manufacturer has Samsung's Galaxy phones to compete with. Display size is said to remain the same as the one on the G5 – 5.3 inches. Maybe the G6 will be slightly more compact, then?

Thanks for the tip!

I want LG 4 shape, 5.5 screen but less bezels! That would be perfect. Why go for smaller screen when you can just make a more compact phone by chopping off the top and the bottom off a bit.

Sounding great in the looks department. Whatever you do though, don't buy an AT&T model. They will always be about 6 months behind with their software updates because they don't give a damn about their customers and would rather you buy a new phone to get the latest version of Android.

How about AMOLED screen display? If I wanted a old IPS screen I'll use a iPhone.

I agree about battery life. I don't care for LG's gimmicky approach since the LG G3, which I loved at first until I got fed up with its feeble battery life. I only buy phones now that have 2-day battery life, like the Lenovo Zuk series, the Meizu Pro 5, Xiaomi Mi 5 and the Xiaomi Redmi 3S. Why pay more for barely one day of battery life??!!

LG G6 is good, but battery must be 3500mAh to compete with Samsung.

Battery capacity is half of the equation. A 2800mAh can compete with a 3500mAh in terms of battery duration.

Nope, not versus Samsung , especially not S8 with new exynos and 10nm ram (exclusive to S8 at the moment ).

Last year was about design , but this year it's about whole package, being monster. LG already missed the train, and look at Samsung , S8 is shaping to be a beast.

And the design of the phone in the thumbnail photo of this article is roughly the back of the Galaxy S7, with an (unusual) LG logo at the back... It's clearly fake, bruh.

Bitches better bring swappable battery and ir blaster or im jumping from G4 to S8. I want the same strong features G4/5 have but newer ones as well.
