Samsung to announce new Exynos Infinity processor at MWC 2014?

We’ve been hearing about a new 64-bit Exynos processor since last year, and now Samsung may finally be ready to announce it.

The official Samsung Exynos Twitter account today posted a teaser image which suggests that we should expect to see a brand new chipset, called Exynos Infinity, at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week. The image is accompanied by the following text:

We probably don’t have to remind you, but we’re still going to say it: Samsung is also getting ready to announce its long-rumored Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone at MWC 2014. Thus, the Exynos Infinity could power some S5 variants.

Of course, we can’t be sure that the Exynos Infinity will be a 64-bit processor. However, a 64-bit CPU would certainly allow an eventual 5.2-inch Quad HD Galaxy S5 to run smoothly in any situation.

Samsung will host an Unpacked press event on February 24 at MWC, so we'll probably find out more about this new Exynos on that day.
