Samsung releases the first Galaxy Note5 TV commercial: it's all about the new design and new S Pen
Samsung today released the very first Galaxy Note5 TV commercial. Unlike this official Note5 promo video, which is too long to show up on TV, the commercial is a 30-second lively clip that showcases some of the new handset's highlights, including its new metal-and-glass design, its multitasking capabilities, and the mighty S Pen stylus.

As you may have heard, Samsung improved the S Pen with features like auto-eject, the ability to write while the Note5's screen is off, Air Command on an screen, and the ability to write on PDF files.

Since earlier this week, when it was announced, the Galaxy Note5 can be pre-ordered in the US, where it will be launched on August 21 via all major American carriers. Off contract prices start at $700 (with T-Mobile being the carrier that's offering the most affordable Note5). You can see detailed pricing info here.

While Samsung won't release the Note5 in Europe this year, the device can already be bought in Taiwan. If you want to take a closer look at the brand new Samsung smartphone/phablet, check out our Galaxy Note5 unboxing, and out Galaxy Note5 hands-on.

I like the battery life and screen on time. They should promote that : 1 hour screen on time and great productivity with the S pen !

I bet u will get the same battery performance for the Note 5 ad the Note4. There is a reason why Samsung's TW is lite now.

I think you better check out the note 5 in your retail store before you claim that the touch wiz in note 5 is light. I have seen mine 15Gb + of system memory used in a 32Gb model. There about 7GB±± of user usable storage space left after minus bloatware. Check it out yourself!

It's not just a lighter Touchwiz. UFS storage is way more efficient than battery-sucking microSD.

That's an excellent ad. One of the better ones I have seen in a long time. Short enough to keep our attention, shows off the design and features well, and is hip enough to be edgy. The last one with the model was poor though. Especially since she chose the GS6 edge + over the Note 5.

I'm getting it. I don't care. I'll just have to cope with the shortcomings.

What's personally pissing me off is that the Silver and Gold Titanium colors of the Note 5 aren't available in North America at launch and only genetic Sapphire Black and Pearl White are, while the S6 edge+ at least gets the gold. I wanted a Note 5 more, but I would have to be forced to settle for the former if I wanted the right color for me.

Agreed.. I wanted the silver one myself but doesn't seem I'll get it until later

Man. What a bummer Samsung turned out to become. PA this is a good opportunity for you to do a few stories telling me what I should buy (no contract) in October/November because it's not this.

I love the drag-and-drop picture to MMS between windows, but I can already do that with the Note 4 if the apps support it.

I congratulate for the success of samsung for redefining their design, planning to buy note 5, and I hope for their next release of note series and S series, since they joined the non-removable battery versions, they can come up with WATER resistant smartphones, if that happens, i will never look into sony phones again, or will I. It depends on what they offer, :p but for now, samsung wins my heart and money. LOL looking forward to 2016.. Sony, Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, and oh, wait... there's more, NO - wait for it - KIA... :))

Oh, and the best, most powerful, most flexible and most functional large screen phone in the world.

Instead of making two devices and limiting their availability sammy should have made a Galaxy Note 5 Edge and increased the screen size and battery size to 5.9 inch and 3500 mAh. Make the 64gb version the base model and also offer a 128gb version. And you have an iPhone 6S Plus Killer.

Something like that, and going by Samsungs recent pricings, would be a $1500 usd device, which wouldn't be much of an iphone killer. Truth be told one of the selling points that mattered the most about the note was: "You can get all of this and do far more things with it for less than your iphone". But as it is right now, being ABOVE iphones price range and removing so many functions in order to just to be thinner, well... I hardly think it'll be a sliver of what the note4 was. I was eagerly awaiting for the note 5, not so anymore. Galaxy S6 is the way to go, way cheaper device with pretty much the same specs.

First commercial? I've been seeing the another one often with some girl (Christie Tiegan?) for a few days. Yet to see this one though.
