Samsung and T-Mobile to provide details next week on Vibrant update plans

It hasn't yet reached the point where owners of the Vibrant are grabbing a torch (no, not the BlackBerry 9800) and have started marching on T-Mobile and Samsung Headquarters chanting, "We want our Froyo, We want our GPS fix." But the pair have heard enough questions to feel the need to make an announcement on Samsung's facebook page.

The posting says, "T-Mobile and Samsung are hearing your questions regarding timing for the Vibrant software upgrade. We are continuing to work diligently to provide you with improvements in an effort to provide you with a high quality experience. We plan on having more information to share next week regarding timing on when these updates will be delivered to customers over-the-air. Thank you for your patience."

As we reported yesterday, T-Mobile has told Vibrant owners via a tweet not to manually update their handset through the Samsung Kies program due to some "known issues". The carrier is telling Vibrant owners to wait for the OTA update. Remember, patience is a virtue.
