Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 to get Android 2.1 as well
No more speculations and unofficial ROM versions! Samsung has officially announced that the Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 will get updated to Android version 2.1. The pack is to roll out in Germany by the end of March first, but customers across Europe and Asia will be able to get it soon after.

It´s interesting to mention that the new version will bring extra features that are unavailable with the Nexus One (please, read our review of the device to find out more about the novelties Android 2.1 offers). For an instance, the number of home screens will be increased to nine and they will be able to host widgets specifically developed by Samsung. The Galaxy Spica i5700 will also feature dedicated application for augmented reality and extended set of camera options. It also seems this is going to be one of the few Android handsets that can be connected to a computer via Samsung PC Studio 7. Respectively, people will be able to download the update through the program or directly from Samsung´s website.

It appears that one of the most appealing Android devices on the market today will soon become even more attractive.
