This Black Friday, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge come with free Gear VR headsets

Earlier this year, when it first released the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge in the US, Samsung gave away free Gear VR headsets with both smartphones. Now, the company is getting ready to bring back this offer as part of its Black Friday series of deals. Thus, from November 24 throughout November 28, folks who purchase a Galaxy S7 or S7 edge will get a free Gear VR (2016 model), which normally costs $99.99, plus an Oculus content bonus (a $50 value).

The free Gear VR offer is available to US residents of at least 18 years old. As always, it's advisable to read the full terms and conditions before making a purchase (you'll find them over at Samsung's website via the source link below).

Compared to older models, the Gear VR 2016 is obviously superior, though we still feel there's plenty of room for improvement - check out our review of the headset here. Nevertheless, since the accessory can be had for free, and you're also getting some free virtual reality content, you'll probably be happy to have it with your Galaxy S7 or S7 edge. As Samsung is suggesting in the video below, a new high-end Galaxy phone and a Gear VR can be a pretty nice holiday gift.
