The 5.3-inch half-smartphone/half-minitablet may or may not come to the States, but it’s sure landing on the other side of the Atlantic and we now know the exact month. In the UK, the Samsung Galaxy Note is arriving in late November, according to retailer Clove.
"We can now confirm that the first stock of the 5.3 [inch] beast is due to be here late November. At the moment the price remains unconfirmed, but it is likely to be around the indicative price of £500 + VAT that we have listed on the website."
That’s the off contract price, which translates into some $780, but adding VAT runs you a hefty $940, which is a bit on the expensive side, but that’s the price of innovation you have to pay with the Samsung Galaxy Note. The price is not final, though, and might change slightly at launch.
The Galaxy Note has a pretty impressive spec sheet starting with a 1.4GHz dual-core processor and ending with the built-in capacitive stylus which works miracles on the huge screen. Is that enough to justify that price though?
