Samsung Galaxy Note 8 receives new update, brings security changes
A new software upgrade is now rolling out for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The update weighs in at 707.5MB. Usually, patches of this size bring along notable features, but in this case, the changelog is suspiciously small.

The only new thing mentioned in the log is the Android security patch for the month of January. It provides fixes for 13 vulnerabilities found in Samsung's software and 6 Android-specific exploits. We do suspect that there could be more to this update, so if you notice any changes after installation, feel free to mention them in the comments section.

The update has been spotted in France, but it should become available to other markets in the next few days. If you'd like to check for its availability manually, head over to Settings > About Device > Software Updates. As always, make sure that your phone is sufficiently charged and connected to a Wi-Fi network before proceeding with the patch.
