Samsung Galaxy Indulge gets FOTA update pushed by MetroPCS
Owners of the Samsung Galaxy Indulge on MetroPCS have received an FOTA upgrade that takes care of a few minor problems with the phone. The LTE enabled, Android flavored handset has had some bugs with its 4G connectivity, camera, and text messaging.

The Samsung Galaxy Indulge will now display the '4G' icon at all times that the phone is connected to the 4G network. After losing connectivity, the phone will reconnect to 4G when it is powered on and the version of the LTE modem that is in use will be displayed correctly instead of just saying, "unknown".

The upgrade will allow users to turn off location storing via GPS when taking pictures. This might have been done in response to the current battle over smartphones sending location data to third party advertisers. The upgrade also fixes a bug that prevented the user from using the camera key to launch the camera if the battery was removed while in "preview" mode. The update will also now allow the proper thread and text message conversation to load based on the selection of the customer, and fixes a problem that had SMS messages going to the wrong recipient.

For those who keep track of such things, the Baseband version after the update will be CDMA: EE07 and LTE: ED15.
