Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro receives its Wi-Fi certification
Yesterday, we told you that the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro had been certified by Chinese regulatory agency TENAA. This morning, the Galaxy C5 Pro has received another document that Samsung can proudly stick on the refrigerator. This time, it is the Wi-Fi certification for the device. It's not really earth shattering news, although it is another task that Samsung can draw a line through as it steadily moves toward the unveiling of the phone. That will reportedly take place on January 21st.

The Galaxy C5 Pro will feature a 16MP camera on the back of the handset, with another 16MP camera up front for selfies and video chats. The 5.2-inch display is protected by Gorilla Glass, and carries a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. The Snapdragon 626 chipset powers the phone with an octa-core 2.2GHz CPU and the Adreno 506 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB of native storage. A 3000mAh battery keeps the lights on, and Android 6.0.1 will be pre-installed. The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro will be available in Gold, Blue and Pink.

On January 21st, we expect to see both the Galaxy C5 Pro and the Galaxy C7 Pro officially introduced by Samsung. The latter will feature a larger 5.7-inch display, and a higher capacity battery.
