Samsung Galaxy 3 I5800 is going to sell for 14,000 rubles in Russia (€365, $450)?
With all of the hype surrounding Samsung's Galaxy S happening just about everywhere you look, we were recently introduced to the Samsung Galaxy 3 I5800 which surprisingly packed on better specs than the Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500. Now that we're a bit more tuned regarding its features and what consumers can expect to see, pricing is always an issue for some – either making or breaking a purchase. According to Mobile-Review, the Android 2.1 powered Samsung Galaxy 3 I5800 will sell for around 14,000 rubles in Russia ($450, €365) – which some believe to be a bit more pricy; especially with the kind of specs it packs on. When compared to something like the €370 priced Nokia N8, with its packed multimedia features, some would probably easily overlook the Galaxy 3 in favor of the Symbian^3 powered N8. When you see that the Galaxy 3 features a 3.2” WQVGA touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel auto-focus camera, 170MB of internal storage, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, and aGPS, it may prove insignificant compared to the Nokia N8's packed talents. Nonetheless, if Android floats your boat, we'd imagine the Galaxy 3 might be good enough for you, even though the N8 might prove to offer more bang for the money. But you never know what might happen, Samsung may ultimately decide on bringing its price point significantly to appease the masses.
