SNES emulator for the Nokia N900 controlled via PS3 sixaxis controller
At this point it looks like there isn’t anything the Nokia N900 can’t do – especially when it comes to anything related to gaming. We’ve seen plenty of nostalgic games ported over to the Maemo powered device, but for its latest trick, it can allow you to play SNES games right on the device while using a PS3 sixaxis controller. Tomasz Sterna has recompiled the kernel to add joystick and mouse support, which he then pieced enough code to make the N900 one portable SNES console that you can bring just about anywhere. After turning on Bluetooth, he is able to connect a PS3 sixaxis gaming controller to be used with the emulator – allowing him to start getting settled in playing a round of good old Super Mario World. So what else does this hackable device have up its sleeves?
