Russian video compares BlackBerry 9720 to the BlackBerry Q5

Last month, we showed you some leaked images of the unannounced BlackBerry 9720, a model that looks like it was left over from the BlackBerry OS 7 days. Expected to be aimed at the emerging markets where BlackBerry is still a recognizable and relevant name, perhaps the Canadian OEM wants to offer a handset to those more comfortable using the older BlackBerry 7 platform.

Regardless for the reason that the BlackBerry 9720 apparently exists, a video from Russia shows off the device, comparing it to the entry-level BlackBerry Q5, the BlackBerry Q10 and the BlackBerry Bold 9900.  With the video you can really see the difference in the physical QWERTY keyboard used on the higher-end models like the Bold 9900 and the Q10.

We are still waiting for BlackBerry to make the 9720 official at which time we will probably learn more about the regions where the phone will be made available, and the pricing of the handset.
