QuickPic beta for Android scores an image selection feature like the new one in Google Photos

The beta version of QuickPic, a pretty popular and polished third-party gallery app for Android, has just scored a new feature that is inspired by one of Google Photos' newly-scored features.

Version 4.5.2 of the app, which is the experimental playground for any new features, now allows you to quickly select multiple images in your gallery by long-pressing and dragging, without much hassle.

The execution of this feature is mostly similar to Google Photos' solution, which was briefly showcased back at Google I/O 2015 a couple of weeks ago.

Apart from this feature, QuickPic Beta also scored a search functionality, allowing you to quickly find files that correspond to a keyword.

A few months ago, QuickPic got updated with a ton of additional features, too, establishing itself as one of the more, if not the most popular and feature-rich gallery apps for Android.

The nifty photo-selection feature will most likely hit the "flagship" QuickPic app soon, but until then, if you don't want to play the waiting game, you can head straight to the source link and sideload the app.
