Previously unseen high-end Sony Ericsson phone running Gingerbread is spotted
If all these rumours are to be believed, Sony Ericsson is pretty serious about embracing Android and getting back its reputation as a top phone maker. After we reported Eldar Murtazin's first hand experience on no less than 7 new Sony Ericsson handsets back in November to you, as well as the speculated specs of the X12, more widely known as the Sony Ericsson Anzu, now we have some images and info on one more unannounced high-end Android-running handset from Sony Ericsson. Its model numbers are MT15i (internationally) and MT15a (in the States) and its nickname is the Sony Ericsson Hallon. It's further speculated that these photos were taken by the Anzu.

Various sources point to the fact that the Sony Ericsson Hallon is set to be a SE Vivaz look-a-like running Gingerbread and the leaked images of the phone confirm that this device is indeed highly reminiscent of the Vivaz. Furthermore, it's not a big secret that the Swedish-Japanese joint venture wants to retain the Vivaz form factor, only with a different OS and it seems likely that this is the case with the Hallon model.

One thing that's certain, though, is that Sony Ericsson is set to introduce a few Xperia models during MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona on February 13. It seems likely that this Hallon model is set to be among these handsets along with the highly-anticipated PlayStation Phone and the Sony Ericsson X12 .

Presumably, we will have to wait until February 13 before we have any official information on the new Sony Ericsson Android-powered phones, but the prospects are exciting indeed.
