Pre-order pricing suggests no price cut for the Samsung Galaxy S5
Amid talk that the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy S5 might launch at a lower price than the Samsung Galaxy S4 at its launch, U.K. retailer Clove posted its pre-order price for the phone. The 16GB Samsung Galaxy S5 is priced at £499.99 ($838 USD) or £599.99 ($1005 USD) after tax. Amazon Spain is asking €730 ($1009 USD) for the same exact phone.

This pricing is actually higher than the launch price for the Samsung Galaxy S4, which was $650 to $700 globally. The latest build of Sammy's flagship Android device will launch in 150 countries on April 11th.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is coming to market with some major changes to the prior model. The phone caries IP67 certification and is waterproof. It also features a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button, and includes a heart rate monitor.
