Poll: are you getting a Samsung Gear S3? Which variant?

Samsung unveiled its 3rd generation of Gear S smartwatches today and it is prettier than ever. The Gear S3 comes in two variants – the Classic and Frontier. The difference is in looks, with the Classic looking a bit more like your regular, I-wear-that-with-my-suit watch, the Frontier — replacing last year's sporty, regular Gear S2 — is slightly more rugged.

Still, both wearables are specced the same and both have the IP68 rating for water- and dust-resistance. Both take 22 mm standard straps, and both run the same plethora of apps, have S Health features on board, GPS, altimeters, barometers, and support for Samsung Pay. Of course, we do assume that the Frontier might end up costing about $50 less than the Classic and that's just about the only difference they'd have, aside from looks.

So, are you buying a Samsung Gear S3 and, if yes, which one are you going for?

Classic looks slick, but the Frontier has an extra edge to it (no pun intended).

They look nice. I liek that Frontier. Having 4G LTE is a nice plus. Hopefull It comes to US carriers. But I also like the last set they released too. That Titanium Silver and Rose Gold one. Those babies look share. But @ $549, that is just way more than what I think a watch is worth. No watch is worth more than $150. I can only assume they jack them up so high, because they know they will be sold in limited quantities and thy are trying to make as much off each sell for a product that cost them less than $100 to make. But if they price the frontier at the same price or less that I paid for my Gear S2, I'd be ok with that. It only cost me $360, which is very pricey.

it'll be better with Android though, so I can stream music apps without my phone. People at the gym steal phones

I like the new models have both NFC and MST. means they can fully support Samsung Pay like the phone. That's a huge benefit for me. Now I would never have to take my phone when I go out if I don't want too. I had no plans to buy this, but that could change if T-mobile offers it. Have to get one for me and the wifey!

People don't understand that Samsung pay is amazing. Cashiers be trying to tell me it doesn't work then "Beep" in their face, lol.

That's the only thing that makes Samsung phones better, Samsung Pay. Provided your bank supports it.

Well if you wanna use it, you dont have to be with a bank tbat dowsnt support it, you move to one thst does. I bank with Chase, Citi and Bank lf America. That righr there is huge potential of usage On Samsung's Pay first birthday, it will have compmeted mlre transactions than Apple Pay did its first year. Over 100M transactions and counting.http://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-pay-nears-100-million-transactions-first-anniversary-712169/ Come PA, report on this article. SAMSUNG PAY...100M TRANSACTIONS. MORE THAN APPLE HAD YEAR ONE WITH APPLE PAY!!!!! Lol

They are both very tempting. If there was an Android Wear version, I'd definitely be getting one. Actually, I'd have the Gear S2 already and would be deciding whether to upgrade to the Gear S3.

Android would be better because I can use better music apps, whatapps, allo, etc. I could even use LG but my experience tells me nothing is as good as Samsung
