Pebble Time Steel now available for pre-order, starting at $249
If you've been waiting for Pebble Time Steel to buy the second-generation Pebble smartwatch, there is good news for you today. Pebble has started taking reservations for the new timepiece. If you reserve your Pebble Time Steel now, your new watch will ship in six to eight weeks, just enough time to employ the device during the last few weeks of the pennant races and the beginning of the new NFL season.

The Pebble Time Steel has the same features and functions as the Pebble Time does, but with a build made up completely of steel. Other improvements from Pebble Time include an improved color e-ink display, and a longer battery life (up to ten days between charges). Like the plastic version of the watch, the timeline allows you to go back into the past to replay events and notifications that have already occurred. With a leather strap, the Pebble Time Steel is priced at $249, while those opting for a steel strap will have to pay $299.

The timepiece supports both iOS and Android, and Pebble Time Steel can download and install apps for either platform. You can take a look at several pictures of Pebble's latest smartwatch by clicking on the slideshow below. To pre-order the timepiece, click on the sourcelink.

Thanks for the tip!
