Paramount is releasing app-featured movies for WP7
Paramount Pictures is adding a little something special to their digital copies for Windows Phone 7. Using Silverlight, they will offer apps to accompany their digital titles. These "enhanced movie apps" will include pop-up trivia from 'Scene It?,' movie info features, and special bonus features exclusive to the WP7 digital copies.

Geremie Camara, VP of Product Development for Paramount Digital Entertainment, says that "Using Silverlight technology and adding interactive and social networking features, our enhanced movie apps transform the movie viewing experience into a true entertainment experience." Users will also be able to take screen captures, and create custom clips from the movies.

The special WP7 features are launching with School of Rock, Zoolander, Waiting for Superman, and GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra. And more titles will be announced soon. The School of Rock download costs US$10, but we're not sure if that will be the standard for future releases.

What do you think? Do you want your movies to have such accompanying apps, or are you satisfied with the standard bonus features?
